NOTICE VERSION 2026-09-19
Recruitment privacy notice
The data controller for information collected through this recruitment site is LEAD48, an independent leadership forum convened by Charles Igwe and Fola Alabi. The data contact is charles.igwe@ci3pro.ca. This notice applies to planning-team, Regional Facilitator, speaker, host/moderator and event-delivery expressions of interest.
Information collected
We collect the contact, location, professional background, availability, role interests, speaker or Regional Facilitator proposal, consent and selection-framework version information that you choose to submit. Reviewers may add private assessment notes and separate applicant-facing status updates. A one-way technical identifier derived from the submitting network address may be retained temporarily to prevent automated abuse; the raw network address is not stored in the recruitment tables.
Next-Gen participants aged 13–19
The current recruitment application is restricted to people aged 18 and older. People aged 13–17 must not submit personal information through it. Before Next-Gen nominations open, LEAD48 will publish a separate age-appropriate notice and safeguarded process. That process will require the young person’s informed assent and, for minors, parent or guardian consent; collect only the minimum information needed; avoid public disclosure of personal contact, school or precise location details; use moderated communications rather than private adult-to-minor messaging; provide a trained safeguarding contact; and allow participation or recording permission to be withdrawn. Participants aged 18–19 may use the adult process, while still benefiting from the Next-Gen participation standards.
Purpose and legal basis
We use the information to assess candidates, manage recruitment and speaker selection, plan interviews and scheduling, maintain continuity benches, and contact applicants about LEAD48 participation. Processing is based on the consent given with the application. You may withdraw consent, although doing so may prevent continued consideration.
Access and sharing
Access is limited to authorized LEAD48 recruitment decision-makers and service providers needed to host and secure the site. Application information is not sold. It is not used for unrelated marketing without separate permission.
Storage and safeguards
The public browser cannot write directly to the recruitment database. Submissions pass through a protected server-side endpoint that validates consent and active role data, limits repeated attempts, and stores records in a restricted database.
Applicant status access
The status service uses a time-limited one-time code sent to the email address associated with an application. After verification, it displays only that email address’s application stage, applicant-facing update, next action and any rubric bands deliberately published by the recruitment team. It does not expose private reviewer notes, other applicants, comparative rankings or confidential deliberations. Authentication and code-delivery records are processed by the secure recruitment service provider.
Selection transparency
LEAD48 may publish anonymized aggregate application and selection information, such as counts by region, movement or sector. Small groups will be suppressed where reporting could reasonably identify an applicant. An applicant’s name, proposal or selection will not be publicly announced through this transparency reporting without an appropriate basis and notice.
Retention
Applications are retained for up to 24 months after submission, unless the applicant requests earlier deletion or a longer period is legally required. Records for selected participants may be retained under the separate agreement governing that participation.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your application, or withdraw consent. Write to charles.igwe@ci3pro.ca and include your application reference, or reply to any official LEAD48 recruitment communication you receive.
Changes
If this notice changes materially, the version date will be updated. A new consent will be requested where required.
Version 2026-09-19 names the data controller. It replaces version 2026-08-24, which identified the controller as the LEAD48 founding team.
